a. Courses are given for an annual period from 7 September 2020 to 25 June 2021.
b. They will not take place during Zone C school holidays and public holidays.
c. A course calendar is available on the internet portal at your disposal. Please refer to it as regularly as possible.
d. 48 hours before each course an automatic email will be sent to inform you that the course will take place. Please note that no email will be sent to inform you that a course is not scheduled.
e. Commitment is required for the whole school year. An interruption of the course during the year will not be reimbursed, whatever the reason.
a. The rates are annual and the packages are neither transferable nor refundable, except in the case of a duly justified serious cause such as a move out of the area or an inability to play the piano during the entire period of the course.
b. The school does not accept payment in cash.
c. Payment cannot be made through the teachers. All cheques must be accompanied by the associated invoice. Partial payments of invoices are not accepted.
d. Lessons are payable in advance, only by cheque or credit card.
e. Payment is made at the time of registration accompanied by the complete file duly signed.
f. A penalty of 10€ will be applied to any invoice not paid by the due date. The school reserves the right to suspend the student’s classes after the due date of an unpaid invoice. In this case, the school reserves the right to suspend the student’s lessons after the due date of an unpaid invoice.
g. Any invoice of less than 200€ must be paid directly online. Payments by cheque will not be accepted in this case.
h. During the course of the year, the students must, as they progress, buy scores or music theory books. Scores must be ordered directly from the website www.piano-academie.com. An e-shop has been created for this purpose.
a. The registration fee of 65€ is non-refundable.
b. This fee is requested for each child registered within the same family.
c. The amount of this fee does not vary according to the date of enrolment.
a. This choice of the professor is the sole responsibility of PIANO ACADEMIE.
b. Our piano school reserves the right to change the teacher initially assigned. This change will not be subject to a request for early termination of lessons and reimbursement.
c. The school may substitute a teacher for one or more lessons without having to justify itself.
a. No absence from a course at the school can be the subject of a request for a make-up or refund.
b. Absences due to participation in a school trip are the only absences that the school will take into consideration. The school may request proof of absence.
c. In the event of a transport strike, the course will be organised by video call. The course cannot be postponed or reimbursed. The course will then be invoiced at the video call rate charged by the school.
d. The starting time of the course must be respected. A late start of a course cannot be the subject of a request for a make-up.
e. The duration is approximately 60 minutes: the duration of the course may be shortened by the teacher if the teacher considers that the student has reached the objective of the course. This change cannot be the subject of a complaint.
f. Lessons taken at the piano school cannot be the subject of a request for a tax certificate.
g. Pupils will have to come to the PIANO school twice a year for a control lesson by Mrs LEE or one of her assistants. This control course organised in the form of a Master Class, which lasts approximately 30 minutes maximum, will be charged 30 euros per student. Many slots are offered over a period of 3 weeks. Non-participation in this type of course cannot be the subject of a request for a refund or credit note.
a. No absence from a home course can be the subject of a request for a make-up or refund.
b. Absences due to participation in a school trip are the only absences that the school will take into consideration.

g. Pupils will have to come to the PIANO school twice a year for a check-up lesson by Mrs LEE or one of her assistants. This control course organised in the form of a Master Class, which lasts approximately 30 minutes maximum, will be charged 30 euros per student. Many slots are offered over a period of 3 weeks. Non-participation in this type of course cannot be the subject of a request for a refund or credit note.
a. No absence from a group course will be subject to a request for a make-up or refund.
b. Serious causes of absence such as a move out of the area or an inability to practice the piano during the entire period of the course cannot be taken into consideration for group lessons.
c. The commitment to a group lesson is valid for the school year. A change to a private lesson during the year is not accepted.
d. In the event of a transport strike, the course will be organised by video call. The course cannot be postponed or reimbursed. The course will then be invoiced at the video call rate charged by the school.
e. The groups are made up in a balanced way. A child in the group who does not work hard enough or who misses a certain number of lessons may however penalise the rest of the group. In this case, the school may require the pupil to pay a fee:
i) a minimum of two months’ attendance at the ALLO PIANO video call courses.
ii) the addition of a few private lessons to make up for the delay.
f. It is not up to the parents to request that the group be made up of a maximum of two children. The school may at any time change a group from two to three children without having to notify the parents of the change.
g. The starting time of the course must be respected. A late start to a course cannot be the subject of a request to make up for it.
h. The duration is approximately 60 minutes: the duration of the course may be shortened by the teacher if the teacher considers that the objective of the course is achieved by the students in the group. This change cannot be the subject of a complaint.
i. Lessons taken at the piano school cannot be the subject of a request for a tax certificate.
j. The students will have to come to the PIANO school twice a year for a control lesson by Mrs LEE or one of her assistants. This inspection course, organised as a Master Class, which lasts approximately 30 minutes maximum, will be charged 30 euros per student. Many slots are offered over a period of 3 weeks. Non-participation in this type of course cannot be the subject of a request for a refund or credit note.
a. In such situations, prices will be switched to video call.
b. Classes will be charged at the rate of the video classes offered by the school.
c. The student’s inability to take the course by video call (lack of internet access, insufficient bandwidth, piano not at home, refusal of this form of course, …) will not be subject to a request for reimbursement or credit.
d. The course schedule will not be changed.
e. The group lessons will keep the same format.
f. The end-of-year concert can be postponed to the following year.

b. You must notify us of any change in your email address (this can be done directly in the parent/teacher portal).

e. Please make sure that our emails reach you from the beginning. It may indeed be that our emails go directly to your Spam box.
f. the website www.piano-academie.com is a necessary passage to register for the charity concerts, the end-of-year concert and the Master Classes organised by the school. The school will not make any live slot reservations.
g. Cordiality being part of the school’s values, it will not be tolerated to receive messages that do not respect this principle. The school then reserves the right to unilaterally suspend the student’s classes without compensation.
a. The school courses and test courses are offered in the following premises: 2 bis rue Scheffer, 75116 PARIS or at 19 Rue de la Pompe, 75116 PARIS.
b. Parents are invited to give their preference for the location of the course. However, the school reserves the right to propose the most appropriate place according to the time slot and the type of course requested by the pupil.
c. In order not to disrupt the smooth running of the lessons, parents are not allowed to attend classes. An open house or show will be organised during the year.
d. Our school declines all responsibility in case of theft on the premises, despite its vigilance. Personal belongings are under the exclusive responsibility of the owner.
e. As our school has not subscribed to individual civil liability, it is the responsibility of each student or his/her legal representative to cover this guarantee.
